Which of your birthday parties was your favourite one?
Submitted by Jack Yan.
My first birthday party! I remember all of these kids and a number of giants (adults) who kept pushing me around to say hi to these other kids I've never seen before, probably their children. It was definitely a very social evening affair at my paternal grandparents' house in the Philippines who loved to party with their high-society friends, but it went on too long and I remember throwing a tantrum - complete with me jumping and flipping my dress up - since it was late and I wanted to just blow out my cakes, open my presents, play and sleep. Not roam around like a well-behaved 12-month old meet, greet, curtsy and accept presents from strangers. Gawd, that sounds stressful no wonder it stuck in my mind after all of these years that and the single birthday candle I finally blew out.
Which new movies are you looking forward to seeing this fall?
SWEENEY TODD. It's going to be f*cking awesome.
What's the weirdest baby name you've ever heard (or considered)?
Maximlilian [or Maximillion] - this was almost Jon's name.
I thought it was weird at first, but it's kind of growing on me. It may possibly be chosen as the name of our first son.
Yeah, this is not an announcement...don't go there.

What are the 10 most memorable music performances you've seen? (Remember, "memorable" may not be good.)

WARNING: THIS MAY BE REPETITIVE!
- Watching the Altar Boyz and screaming like a school girl. Then, receiving dirty looks from actual girls still in school
for being a 20something band aid.
- Seeing Jamie Cullum for the FIRST TIME EVER last summer at The Paramount in Oakland and meeting him after the show. Then, apologizing to his trumpeter, Rory for posting his number on the web.
- Going to Vegas with some JC-virgins and hanging out with the band the night before and XXXXXXXXXXX.... what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!
- Meeting up with Camila in Reno to watch Jamie [again and for the third time in one year] front row center. I could literally see up his nostrils. I also placed my bag which held my super-computer-cell near his speaker causing feedback. He kindly asked me to move it and then, congratulated Jon and I on our recent engagement! Later on, he bought us dinner and had a night cap.
And that's about it for now.

Ever run for office? (School, club, organization, politics, etc.) Did you get elected?
In my junior year of high school, I was the Student Body Vice-President. My best friend ran for Secretary/Treasurer [I think?] and we shared a marketing campaign because our names ended with "-aine" (my full name is Charmaine). It went something like this:
Don't be lame, vote for Elaine and Charmaine
Even Dean Cain votes for Elaine and Charmaine
Do you want a candy cane? Well, vote for Elaine and Charmaine!
Okay, I'm not sure about the candy cane bit, but it worked and we won! We won every lunch competition, rally decorating and talent events, and planned a kick ass prom at the American Way Cultural Center - complete with an African tribal band to greet you which led you to a jazz piano lounge with Vegas-style games + charicature artists, billiards room, a dance hall, karaoke in the main thoroughfair, and open bars throughout the venue serving virgin drinks. At the time, it was the most incredible thing I helped to produce.
Who was your best (or worst) elementary school teacher?
Submitted by Minnow.
Best - Mrs. Kempf
I had her for 2nd and 3rd grade. She was my first teacher when I moved to the States and didn't make me feel uncomfortable when I didn't want to talk because I was shy. Instead, she nominated me to receive the Outstanding Behavior Certificate. Lovely lady. I wonder if she's still teaching?
Worst - None in elementary school.
